My prediction on the Survivor finale.

After the latest episode, Ozzy Lusth and Edna Ma competed for safety at Redemption Island.  Once again, Ozzy won the duel and Edna Ma became the sixth member of the jury.

This left the remaining five Upolu members worried about Ozzy’s chances of returning into the game and making his way into the final three.  Trying to prevent this from happening Coach had the idea of sending one of their stronger member, Brandon Hantz, to Redemption Island so at least one of the two strongest castaways will be eliminated.
In the mean time, Albert Destrade conducted a plan to vote out the last remaining woman, Sophie Clarke.  He only needed to convince Coach to follow his plan.
When Coach heard of Albert’s idea he strongly disagreed and refused to go with the plan.  This caused tension between Coach, Albert and the other remaining players.
Coach’s plan seemingly became impossible when Brandon won immunity, but he was surprised when Brandon gave his necklace to Albert to save his friends neck and risk his own.
Brandon’s move later backfired when Coach betrayed his alliance with Albert and Brandon.  Brandon was sent home with a 3-2 vote.
Now, Brandon must face Ozzy in the final duel where the winners would redeem themselves and reenter the game.   Based off of the past duels, I would predict that Ozzy would win once again and reenter the game for a second time.
This would worry the Upolu four and force them to compete their hardest at the challenge.  With four against one Ozzy has a slim chance at saving his skin.  At tribal council, Ozzy would have no chance to survive and he would be voted out.
Albert, Coach, Rick and Sophie would be left as the final four.  At this point Rick has locked his spot into the final three because none of the others feel threatened by him.
For Coach, he has manipulated Albert and Sophie in such a way that they feel like the must remain loyal to him and get ride of the other.  This works out perfectly for Coach and I predict that he will be in the final three with Rick handing them the power.
Assuming that both Albert and Sophie will be vulnerable, I would guess that Coach and Rick would vote with Sophie to eliminate Albert for two reasons.  One: Rick and Coach voted with Sophie at the last tribal council and two: Coach has shown great annoyance with Albert in the last couple episodes and probably feels slightly threatened by him.
Albert will come in fourth place and the jury will vote between Coach, Sophie and Rick.
When the jury votes between the three I believe one player will easily win.  Rick will most likely come in third place receiving zero votes because of his lack of game play.  Coach will com in second place receiving two to three votes for being the leader of his tribe but will lose votes because of his cockiness and the fact that this was his third time playing.
Congratulations to Sophie Clarke for being my prediction winner!  Sophie has played a pretty skilled game.  Although her and her alliance was dormant for the majority of the game, she proved she had brains at tribal councils and she chose the best people to go up against in the end.
Now let’s see how accurate I am.  Tune in on Sunday night to see the live finale of Survivor: South Pacific.

What I think of this season.

Survivor: South Pacific has been the second installment of Survivor that features Redemption Island.  Like the previous season, South Pacific also has two past survivors return to play with a group of new players fresh into the survivor world.
This seasons past castaways were Ozzy Lusth and Benjamin “Coach” Wade.  I give the producers a thumb up on their choice of returnees but a thumb down on the idea of bringing past players back to compete for their third time.
As someone who follows the show very closely I wish to see a large group of new faces.  Not the same old ones every season.  If producers want to continue having large groups of interesting people trying out and millions of viewers than I would advise them to quit the returning player pattern.
On this season Ozzy and Coach became the leaders of their tribes on Day 1, which foreshadowed the fact that the new survivors were going to be spineless and naïve.
Luckily, Christine Shields Markoski and Stacey Powell stood up for themselves and fought against Coach’s dictatorship over the Upolu tribe.  Unfortunately for them, this meant they were certainly the first two members of their tribe to be voted out.  I felt bad for them that they had to go home so quickly and I wish these competitors made it further in the game.
I personally really liked the Savaii tribe.  The only player that got on my nerves was John Cochran; only because of what he did after the merge.
Everyone on the Savaii tribe was very likable and interesting to watch.  Dawn Meehan was one tribe member that stood out to me because she started out as an outsider because of her age but when the tribe discovered her great strength she became one of the members of the main alliance.
After the first seven episodes, Upolu and Savaii were even on tribe members and they merged into one group.  Savaii made a plan to trick Upolu by having Cochran act as an outsider after they took sympathy on him and saved him from being eliminated three times.
When Cochran approached the Upolu members he decided to join forces with them and betray the group of people who repeatedly saved him from going to Redemption Island.
On day 21, Cochran made a foolish game-changing move by betraying his tribe and voting off Keith Tollefson.  This resulted in the demise of the Savaii tribe, as Ozzy Lusth, Jim Rice, Dawn Meehan, and Whitney Duncan were the next ones to be sent to Redemption Island.
Once Cochran was left with the six Upolu members he realized he made a huge mistake.  The Upolu six quickly turned around to stab Cochran in the back and send him to Redemption Island where Ozzy got revenge on the weasel, making him the fifth member of the jury.
When the Upolu six were left, none of them knew what to do because it was their first day actually playing the game.  Brandon Hantz once again decided to make a girl cry when he made it clear he wanted Edna Ma to go home next.
Brandon has continuously proven him self to be one of the biggest jerks in Survivor history.  So far Brandon has made Mikayla Wingle cry when he told her he did not like her and then he made Whitney Duncan cry when he bullied the helpless Savaii tribe.  I’m honestly surprised he could have a wife after seeing how poorly he has treated the women on this show.
Last week, Brandon’s wish came true and Edna was the next one to get voted off.  Now, she is on Redemption Island facing off against challenge powerhouse, Ozzy.
Tonight we will see who will continue to survive on Redemption Island and who will get voted off next.  Tune in to CBS to see what will happen next.

Survivor

In the year of 2000, 16 Americans were stranded on a deserted beach on the island of Borneo where they competed for million dollars.  This groundbreaking show was called Survivor.  The game of Survivor forced the strangers to work and live together while competing against one another.
On day 1, the castaways were divided into two enemy tribes who would face each other in multiple challenges competing for luxuries and immunity.  The tribe who would lose immunity would be forced to sacrifice one of their own by voting them out at tribal council.
After the first six castaways were voted out the final ten merged into one tribe.  When this happened the players had to create new strategies and one player, Richard Hatch, conformed alliances to help him get farther in the game.
His plan proved to be genius when he manipulated his way into the final two and won four out of seven votes from the jury.  This made him the first person to win Survivor.
Since then, the game of Survivor has made series of changes and twists making the game harder and more complex.  Today, castaways search for hidden immunity idols to save themselves from elimination and they must keep in mind that voted out players have the chance to return because of redemption island.
After 23 seasons, Survivor is still one of the most popular shows on television.  Over 300 castaways have gotten to experience the adventure of Survivor and 21 of them have won the million-dollar prize.
On Sunday, December 18, 2011, CBS will reveal the next Survivor winner on Survivor: South Pacific.
Who will it be? Albert, Coach, Ozzy, Edna, Sophie, Rick or Brandon?
